The holiday season is here and it’s time to think about gifts! I’ve put together some great gift ideas for the homesteader or gardener in your life, some of my personal favorite or wish list items!

First up, a few Amazon picks:

  • 1. Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving: This book has great recipes for the beginner and experienced canner, including water bath and pressure canning options.
  • 2. All American Pressure Canner 915: This is the best brand of pressure canner on the market, made here in Wisconsin and made to become a family heirloom. This canner will be the only one you ever need and will fit 10 pints or 7 quarts. Want a larger version? I’ve got the All American Pressure Canner 921 and it can hold 19 pints or 7 quarts and absolutely love it.
  • 3. Barebones Hori Hori: My favorite multipurpose tool, this tool is great for planting, weeding, cutting twine, and harvesting! When I’m traveling between gardens, this is the tool I grab to do it all.
  • 4. Acacia Wood Cutting Board: This is one of my wish list items. A beautiful cutting board for function and those Instagram worthy photos.
  • 5. Carhartt High Dexterity Gloves: My Carhartt gloves are worn out after years of use. They are the ones I grab over any other brand.
  • 6. The First Time Gardener, Growing Vegetables: Jessica Sowards is not only a knowledgable gardening source but a beautiful writer as well. This book is not only for beginners, there is something for everyone. If you are looking for more book options, check out my homestead reading list.
  • 7. Beginning Sourdough Kit: Join the rest of the pandemic bakers and start making sourdough bread. This kit has all a beginner needs to get started.

A couple of my other favorite gift ideas:

Roo Apron: This is for the gardener who has everything! You can harvest the garden and easily empty the pocket on this apron. Subscribe to Roo Apron to get 10% off your order.

Custom Egg Carton Stamp: You can find these on Etsy. I purchased mine along with cartons from Valley Vet Supply to stock our farm stand. A custom stamp is fun even if you aren’t selling products and makes a great gift.

I hope you were able to find some items to add to your wishlist or purchase for your gardening or homesteading friends and family. Make sure you are following along on Facebook and Instagram for more information and great deals!
